Summary:
This entry-level position may work in a commercial assembly/packaging operation or a commercial refrigeration work environment.
The physical and mental demands of performing the task of the job remain relatively simple as an entry level 1 position.
The environmental conditions of the refrigeration assembly/warehouse would be the significant difference in the work process.
These Associates are expected to consistently produce a product equal to, or better than, the expectations of our customers, per the quality and quantity guidelines established for each project while working in a safe manner.
Job progression would be Production Associate level 2 or 3 if an opening exists and job qualifications are met.
Specific Duties and
Responsibilities:
Entry level, untrained, general production or service work using one or both hands simultaneously May be required to use simple hand tools or machinery Will require the assembly or gathering of small, medium, or large components/parts Ability to follow simple verbal instructions Perform all work in accordance with applicable safety and quality regulations Successfully work as production labor within a team-based environment Follow all policies and procedures established of the company Exhibit appropriate workplace behavior as defined in the company handbook Ability to perform essential duties of the job Abide by attendance policy Essential Information and Functions:
Reliable attendance required Must be able to stand, bend, and twist throughout the full shift Must be able to lift up to 25lbs consistently throughout the shift Must be able to take direction from the department Mentor, Line Lead, or Supervisor Must possess basic math and reading skills related to job duties Must be able to get along with other team members Must possess good personal hygiene for GMPs and working in proximity with others Must be able to help perform minor cleaning of the production line at the start and end of the shift and as otherwise deemed necessary This description documents the general nature and level of work expected, but is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all activities, duties, and responsibilities required of position incumbents.
