4K a year 8 days ago 8 days ago 8 days ago About the job General Summary The primary function of the Raw & Pack Distribution Materials Coordinator are to coordinate and expedite the flow of materials according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities, and compiles and maintains records according to company retention policies.
Review production schedules and related information and confers with department leaders to determine material requirement to identify overdue materials and to track as necessary.
Work closely with 3PL partners for effective and timely material movements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability.
Examines material delivered to site and production departments to verify conformance to specifications.
Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
Computes amount of material required to complete job orders, applying knowledge of product and manufacturing processes.
Compiles and maintains records, such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials.
Order Ingredient Materials to support production schedule.
Confirm each Purchase Order that goes out to the 3PL is received properly and inventory transferred within site inventory management system (SAP).
Review inventory of materials when there is a production schedule change to determine the need to reduce or add inventory based on new production needs.
Reconcile receipts of materials to Vendor invoices Perform month-end closing by completing all necessary processes in SAP and reconciling inventory differences between site and 3PL inventories and systems.
Perform outbound shipping task by creating outbound orders and deliveries to move product under DOT regulations.
Afterhours availability to resolve material issues and/or schedule changes for the site.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficiency in MS Office Excel and basic PC skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills within all levels of the organization Proven decision making ability Ability to prioritize and multitask Prior experience working within SAP Education and Experience High School education or equivalent Minimum 3 years logistics experience preferred, preferably in the food/beverage industry Nonessential Qualifications Flexibility - hours needed may vary based on production needs and material availabilty Materials and Equipment Directly Used:
Office machinery including:
computers, printers, fax machines, copiers, telephones, etc.
Software including:
Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and SAP Working Conditions Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs, balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear.
The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a general office environment where the noise level is usually moderate.
