Technicial Safety Coordinator

Reporting to the Plant Engineer, the Technical Safety Coordinator's primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding process safety and risk management for ammonia refrigeration.
Principal Accountabilities
Provide overall leadership and compliance with federal regulations and other safety policies for PSM 1910.119 14 elements ensuring audit readiness.
Develop and assist in procedures for ammonia system operations and emergency response plan.
Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Task Procedures are accurate and training is current.
Lead Management of Change (MOC) process for covered processes and non-regulated process changes.
Coordinate process hazard analyses and communication of PHA to all affected employees.
Oversee administration for tracking PSM compliance.
Provide leadership to the plant's PSM Committee.
Collaborate with other Technical Safety PSM personnel within Cargill in order to follow Cargill standards and metrics.
Ability to work within Utilities and Technical Safety to cover refrigeration rounds as needed, authorize ammonia line breaks and complete expense and capital projects as assigned.
Ensure all actions from all annual inspections are followed up within the scheduled date.
Oversees the fire system for the location and its requirements.
Assist the EHS manager or responsible party to ensure all requirements of the EPA's Risk Management Plan are met.
Responsible for the PSM and facilities Maintenance PM program for SAP.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Engineering degree completed (Mechanical, Industrial or related) or minimum 3 years of ammonia refrigeration experience.
Ability to become a HAZMAT responder and Incident Command.
Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems.
Knowledge of related EH&S equipment, industrial hygiene, and environmental testing methods.
Working knowledge of SAP, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Internet searching.
Strong oral, written, presentation and leadership skills.
Good knowledge of plant operations and systems preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish relationships and drive accountability.
Strong planning, analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills.
Preferred Qualifications
5 years of Formal training and experience in Process Safety Management.
RETA CARO Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
RETA CIRO Certification or the ability to obtain with 180 days.
Working knowledge of AutoCad.
Must be able to meet all requirements to sign off on Cargill ammonia line break.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
